Chap. 01 - Introduction to Wild Pockets Game Builder

Introduction to Game Development

There are three main disciplines in game development: Art, Design, and Programming.

Game design as passion and profession; an interview with The Abrams

Slide Image:

How do you win prizes in two game jams and start a game company in one year?  Persistence and dedication!

The Abrams are blending their greatest passions in life and making a career of it!

We first met the Abrams at the Bay Area Game Jam in 2009. The husband and wife duo immediately caught our attention. Having traveled over 1,700 miles to reach the event they were not only determined to win but clearly talented developers. The trip was not without reward, they took home the third place prize for their game “Bumper Bash!”

Mouse position

Sir,

When I use the Mouse.setPosition() I get the Error : the player has not granted permission to use Mouse.setPosition.

What is the problem? I want to position the mouse cursor at a certain point in the screen. How to do it?

Controls: The player can use 'w' 'a' 's' 'd' or the arrow keys for movement. '1' selects the pistol, '2' selects the shotgun, and '3' selects the Submachine gun (SMG).  Left click fires the current weapon.  Holding the right mouse button and moving the mouse allows the player to rotate the camera.

Notes: Zombies are coming to ravage your trailer park home and only you can defend it!

Transaction System Demo Video

We're ready to provide a sneak peek at the new transaction system that will allow developers to monetize thier games. Below is a demo video that we put together that will show the process in detail from what a player sees when he/she tries to buy game content, to what the developer sees when his/her items have been purchased.
